Job Description:

The Electrical Methods Engineer/Process Planner is responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing electrical manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and quality in production. This role involves process planning, tooling selection, documentation, and continuous improvement for electrical systems in aerospace or industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Process Development & Optimization: Define and improve electrical assembly methods for wiring, harnessing, and system integration.
  • Manufacturing Documentation: Create work instructions, process sheets, and technical documentation for electrical installations.
  • Tooling & Equipment Selection: Identify and implement appropriate tools, fixtures, and automation solutions for electrical assembly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (AS9100, IPC-WHMA-620, FAA, Transport Canada) for electrical systems.
  • Collaboration with Engineering & Production Teams: Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and quality assurance to optimize electrical processes.
  • Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Analyze process inefficiencies, defects, and failures, implementing corrective actions.
  • Supplier & Material Coordination: Ensure electrical components, wiring, and connectors meet specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ Years in electrical process planning, aerospace manufacturing, or industrial automation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in electrical wiring, harnessing, schematics, and avionics systems.
  • Process Engineering: Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with aviation electrical standards and certification requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD, PLM, ERP, and electrical design tools.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive operational success.
