Director Corporate Reporting
Our client is seeking a Director of Corporate Reporting to join their team in Calgary.
The successful individual will lead a team of managers that is responsible for the external financial reporting of this large publicly listed entity, the month-end close and consolidation of financial results and key management reporting and analysis.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Oversee monthly close and consolidation as well as the preparation of the external consolidated financial statements and their adherence to US GAAP and securities regulations. Ensure proper close processes are followed and controls and accounting policies are adhered to. Review executive reports on financial results, operating metrics and variance explanations. Lead the scheduling and processes with internal stakeholders, contributors and external auditors as it relates to public company disclosure requirements and audit cycle. Contribute to recommended reporting solutions on significant financial transactions. Research and analysis of technical literature in relationship to significant emerging ESG disclosures. Support and coach direct and indirect reports with duties related to corporate reporting. Your strengths include:
CPA required with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience. 10+ years of public company external reporting or audit, with SEC/US GAAP reporting as asset. Strong grasp of complex standards and regulatory requirements applicable to public companies. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
