Water Resource Engineer

Company Description Sameng Inc. is a well-established consulting engineering company with 40 years of experience in municipal infrastructure engineering, water resources engineering, land development, resources development, and environmental services. Since 1979, Sameng has been involved in designing and implementing infrastructure projects in the Province of Alberta, particularly in the City of Edmonton region. Role Description This is a full-time role as a Water Resource Engineer at Sameng Inc.

The Water Resource Engineer will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks related to water resource management, stormwater management, water quality, hydrology, and stormwater. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation to work primarily from the Edmonton, AB office but with flexibility for some remote work. Qualifications 5 years experience in Water Resource Management, Stormwater Management, and Hydrology skills Knowledge of Water Quality and stormwater Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience in conducting water resource assessments Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and in a team Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field Additional Qualifications Working knowledge of relevant software and tools (SWMM, ESRI software, GRASS, HEC-RAS, ArcMap, Mike Urban and Mike Urban) Master’s or doctorate in Civil Engineering or related field (5 years of experience may include your thesis if relevant to Water Resource Engineer) Compensation Sameng is on the search for a seasoned Water Resource Engineer, with a minimum of five years of industry expertise.
