Job Summary:
As an Intermediate Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing small to medium-sized oil and gas projects. You’ll collaborate with various teams and ensure technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Lead project engineer, providing crucial support to the Project Manager.
Oversee all aspects of small to medium-sized projects, from scoping to completion.
Assist in project scoping and maintain direct client contact.
Coordinate project tasks and activities across different disciplines.
Prepare project documents, budgets, and schedules.
Review engineering drawings and ensure quality standards are met.
Facilitate timely project reporting and maintain client relationships.
Manage material and service procurement and ensure adherence to project budgets.
Assist in developing and maintaining company policies and standards.
Take proactive measures to expedite project completion.
Supervision Received:
Receive assignments with defined guidelines and available guidance.
Decision Making:
Make sound technical decisions, subject to review by the Project Manager.
Quality Control:
Ensure engineering products meet quality standards, with oversight from the Project Manager.
Core Competencies:
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Understanding of project cost control and client requirements.
Proficiency in natural gas/heavy oil processing and engineering software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Previous experience in an EPCM company required; familiarity with industry standards preferred.
Experience with relevant software and environmental engineering projects considered an asset.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or applied science.
Minimum of 4 years of related working experience.
Registered as an E.I.T. or equivalent with APEGA and working towards P.Eng. designation, or registered with ASET as a T.T./C.E.T.
Salary:
$90,000 – $130,000
