Unified LLP, a medium-sized law firm known for its great work environment and legal excellence. With its base in Toronto, Unified LLP is now expanding its presence in Alberta.
Unified LLP is currently seeking a Family Law Associate with at least 3 years of post-call family law experience. If you are a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, drafting skills, and an outstanding work ethic, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities:
– Handle a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and property division.
– Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings and submissions.
– Represent clients in court and attend hearings, trials, and mediations.
– Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
– More than 3 years of post-call family law experience.
– Strong knowledge of court procedures and practice directions as issued by the various courts.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail.
– Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Adaptable and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
– LL.B. or J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
– Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
