Jr. Estimator – Cladding

Position:

We are currently looking to hire a Junior Estimator – Cladding to join our growing team. Projects vary from residential multifamily to commercial/ industrial work. Scope of work includes architectural facades and metal roofing systems. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 am-4:30pm.

Our Ideal candidate will be a reliable and responsible person who can work efficiently in a team atmosphere, using their knowledge and skills to achieve the task at hand. A safe professional mentality and solid work ethic are important to our company culture. Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of estimating experience in building envelope scope of work.



Key responsibilities:

  • Review blueprint and specifications.
  • Provide assistance to Senior estimator on a daily basis.
  • Perform occasional site reviews to get familiar with each project.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Support bid preparation by organizing cost data and bid documents.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to gather bids and scope details.
  • Utilize estimating software for data input and cost breakdowns.
  • Maintain project documents and cost records.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and cost estimating techniques.
  • Support the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to improve processes and accuracy.


Assets:

  • Building Envelope experience
  • Strong skills in Excel and Word
  • Ability to read plans and specifications
  • Valid Driver’s License required
