Cranemasters Hoisting + Rigging Training is an overhead crane and rigging educational facility based in Edmonton, AB. Our training courses and reference guides strictly adhere to current ASME, OH&S standards, and manufacturers’ specifications for tools and equipment. We offer a range of courses, including Overhead Crane & Rigging, Rigging Fundamentals, and Rigging For Supervisors. In addition to training, we provide services such as Competency Verification, off-site classroom training, custom on-site training, site safety audits, incident investigation, and free safety talks.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role as a Hoisting & Rigging Instructor. The Hoisting & Rigging Instructor will be responsible for conducting training courses on overhead cranes and rigging, teaching rigging fundamentals, and training rigging supervisors. They will also be involved in competency verifications, site safety audits, and incident investigations. Some remote work is acceptable, but the role is primarily located in Edmonton, AB.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Teaching experience in a related field
- Strong knowledge of hoisting and rigging concepts
- Ability to create engaging and informative training materials
- Experience conducting safety audits and incident investigations
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a hybrid remote and in-person environment
- Certifications in hoisting, rigging, or related fields are a plus
