Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic editor to produce and edit engaging content across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for writing and editing content for our print magazines and play a role in enhancing our digital presence. This role requires a blend of expertise in writing and editing, along with proficiency in digital media.

The ideal candidate will thrive in an omni-channel environment, effectively balancing both digital and print priorities. This is an office-based role with flexible remote work options. Interested candidates are asked to submit their resume and cover letter.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit recent writing samples from a variety of channels (features, profiles, Q&As, overviews, opinion pieces, etc.) Key Responsibilities: Plan, write, and edit articles for the print editions of Heavy Equipment Guide and Recycling Product News . Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute a digital content strategy that grows our online audience. Oversee the creation and distribution of digital content including web articles, newsletters, and social media posts.

Stay updated on industry trends and news to keep content relevant and informative. Conduct interviews with industry experts in person as well as via phone and video. Create and manage content for special issues, supplements, and sponsored features.

Attend local, national, and international industry events, conferences, trade shows, construction sites, and recycling facilities to gather content and network. Foster relationships with industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, trade associations, and end users. Build strong relationships with colleagues and contribute to a supportive editorial team.

Qualifications: A valid Canadian passport and the ability to travel internationally. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or other relevant field. Proven experience in editing and writing.

Strong understanding of digital content creation and distribution. Proficiency with content management systems and social media platforms. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with SEO best practices. Comfortable using LinkedIn to share content you’ve produced Demonstrates strong editorial judgment and attention to detail including ability to copy-edit and proofread. Possesses the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Is knowledgeable in InDesign, Photoshop, Outlook, etc. Shows strong project management and organizational skills. Being comfortable in front of the camera and able to film/edit video content is an asset.

Experience in B2B publishing is an asset. Familiarity with web analytics tools is an asset. Compensation Range: $65,000 starting with salary review after three months.
