From our offices in Vancouver and Victoria, we offer consulting services we offer consulting services in support of the construction and renovation of cultural centres, schools, offices, retail spaces, firehalls, service yards, multi-family buildings and heritage buildings, ranging from very small projects to high-rises. Our projects are located throughout British Columbia, including with many First Nations.

We are a mid-sized firm, with approximately 40 staff in Vancouver and 5 in Victoria. We are looking for a highly motivated, competent, and effective Intermediate to Senior Technologist or Registered Architect to join our team in our Vancouver studio as a Field Reviewer/Construction Administrator. The successful candidate will work independently under the supervision of various Principals/Studio Leads to perform and oversee Construction Phase Administration across all studios.

Responsibilities Ensure field reviews are undertaken in keeping with applicable codes and current practices. Produce timely, organized field review reports, supported with photos. Make substantial completion inspections/determination with list of deficiencies.

Produce and distribute supplemental drawings and interpretations in response to requests for clarification by contractors/owners. Provide review and circulation of shop drawings and RFIs, prepare and review Change Orders, and manage project closeout services as required. Maintain up-to-date project records, in full accordance with company standards.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Qualifications Intermediate to Senior Technologist or Intermediate to Senior Architect with 5 or more years of Contract Administration experience. Strong foundation in building envelope principles Experience in a variety of project types and construction types preferred.

Experience with one- or two-storey stick-frame construction mandatory. Local (British Columbia) experience required. Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD; however, Revit preferred.

Functional typing speed and proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.). In-depth understanding of contract document drawings and specifications. A strong understanding of construction process paperwork handling, including but not limited to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, certificates for payment, and letters of assurance.

Forward thinking and ability to plan and schedule, including superior time management skills. Ability to handle multiple project responsibilities simultaneously. Ability to find common ground and develop good working relationships with construction site leaders, clients, and team members.

Enjoys travelling and holds a valid driver’s license. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as reading comprehension, with the ability to review and summarize complex documents
