Intermediate or Senior Interior Designer

Responsibilities

• The core of this role is one of strong critical interior design ideation, and the ability to execute that design idea through design development.
• We are looking for someone that can improve our already high standard of interior design and detailing. This includes bringing in fresh ideas and someone that understands interior quality is based on a strong conceptual point of departure that is aligned with the architecture, and that is then layered with refined material selection, pattern, texture, and detailing.
• Work collaboratively in small and cohesive teams, taking direction from, but also assisting and advancing the work of senior project design architects. Architecture and interiors go hand-in-hand in our practice.

Qualifications

• We are looking for candidates with experience in other recognized design-forward firms, who may be interested in a smaller boutique environment, or are simply looking for exposure to a wide variety of project scales and typologies.
• Fluency in Revit.
• Experience in hospitality (hotels and restaurants), and single family is a must. Experience in other typologies is also a plus.
• Experience in FFE selection and design is a strong plus, and experience in procurement is a benefit but not required.
• Experience with managing subordinates is a plus, but not required.
• Experience working in small teams and directing technologist in detailing design intent through construction documentation is a plus.
• Strong experience in using lighting as a design tool.
