Seeking a Production Supervisor for our afternoon shift

As we expand our operations and continue to strengthen our partnerships, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor.
Key Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Leading and supervising a team of workers to optimize safety, product quality and productivity
• Ensure work is performed safely, that workers are protected from any hazards and such hazards are identified and controlled
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring regulatory and company standard practices are adhered to
• Coach and performance manage workers with emphasis on frequent communication, feedback and promoting a high level of teamwork and engagement
• Assist in training staff including SOP’s, GMP’s and equipment competencies. Coach and enforce specific safety rules and behaviors ensuring timely and accurate reporting of accidents / incidents and proactive prevention measures
• Administer vacation program for all staff, ensuring that all areas have enough staff to continue to run regardless of vacation time approved
• Other duties as assigned
What you bring:
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Production supervisor in a GMP facility.
• Post-secondary education in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are essential
• Ability to organize and prioritize essential tasks to achieve results
• Strong knowledge in GMP, HACCP, and other food quality & safety regulations.2+ years
• Proficient with MS Office applications and systems.
• Supervisory or operations leadership experience; Contract Manufacturing environment experience (low-volume, high mix) is an asset
• SAP knowledge will be considered an asset
