Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician with a 4th Class Power Engineer certification to join our client's team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role requires a proactive team player capable of working independently or collaboratively to maintain all aspects of the production facility and its equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of boiler units through routine maintenance, inspections, and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various facility and production equipment issues as they arise.

  • Notify management of malfunctions requiring major repairs.

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of boilers and related equipment to provide a safe and efficient working environment.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on boilers and other machinery.

  • Conduct routine inspections, make necessary adjustments, and maintain detailed records.

  • Collaborate with other engineers and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations.

  • Conduct equipment tests and adjust controls and valves to regulate boiler performance.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the assigned work area.

  • Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with safe operating procedures and relevant codes.

  • Be available for on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.

  • Utilize proper personal protective equipment at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must possess a valid 4th Class Stationary Power Engineer Certification.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Preventive Maintenance programs is an asset.

  • Ability to remain professional and perform well under pressure.
