Accounting Services Manager
Our client is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and the general accounting of the business. A successful candidate will manage a small team of accounting personnel and professionals while implementing best practices and contributing to the financial strategy of the company.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and general ledger functions Ensure all government compliances are completed, including but not limited to T4’s WCB filings, PST, and GST for multiple entities Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Coordinate and manage external audits in conjunction with the Manager of Financial Reporting Prepare cash flow management and forecasting Your strengths include:
CPA Designation is required 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
