Job Description

Advanced audio visual technicians support Proshow’s technical operations in various venues throughout Western Canada, leading a team of technicians as well as assisting in the set up, operation and tear down of audio visual equipment for a wide variety of events. Delivering exceptional experiences to Proshow’s customers is the main goal of the position; from load-in to load-out, Audio Visual Technicians are a critical component to Proshow’s success.

The Ideal Candidate…


Will have an advanced and thorough understanding of audio visual equipment and services, computer networking, software infrastructure as well as an outstanding approach to customer service. Professional experience in large format projection, LED video walls, professional video cameras, video switching, streaming/hybrid services and large format audio reinforcement design, mixing, recording and delivery as well as conventional meeting room AV services is required.

Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills in English


Leading and Supporting the Setup, Operation and Removal Teams of Audio, Video, Lighting, Staging and Other Related Equipment on Live Event Job Sites

Trouble Shooting and On Site Repair of Audio Visual Systems

Advanced Knowledge of Video Systems Including Panasonic Switching, Barco Event Master and Projectors, Multiscreen Blending, Dataton Watchout Operation as well as Experience With BlackMagic and Sony Camera Chains


Design, Build and Support of LED Video Wall Components to Support Live Event Clients

Advanced Knowledge of Audio Systems Including but Not Limited To Yamaha, DigiCo, Midas Mixing Consoles, Meyer Line Array Systems

Audio Software Experience With Shure Wireless Workbench, Meyer MappXD and Mapp 3D, Soundvision and Smaart Software Tools.


Dante Certification at a Minimum of Level 3

Audio System Engineering and Development For Audiences of 10-10,000 people

Audio Recording and Mixing


Playback Software Experience with Mitti and Q-Lab Playback Software

Advanced knowledge of Bosch Dicentis (Interpretation System)

Livestream Software Experience in OBS, V-Mix and integration to Client platforms.


Lighting Equipment and DMX Knowledge

Computer Networking and Design for Live Event and Technical Support

Excellent Working Knowledge of IntelliEvent Software and Lasso Scheduling Software. Over 2 years Experience is Preferred.



Supervision and Management of Staff and Subcontractors Working for Proshow on Job Sites

Project Management (Prep Lists, Site Visits, Advance Meetings, Floor Plans, Client Liaising, Onsite Event Management, etc)

Coordination With Clients, Venue and Third Party Suppliers on Job Sites


Ensure Proshow Standards of Safety, Professionalism and Technical Excellence are Met or Exceeded on site.

Equipment Testing, Maintenance & Cleaning

Special Shop/Warehouse Projects

Truck/Van Deliveries with Drivers Abstract


Employee may perform other related duties as reasonably requested by the Company to meet the ongoing needs of the Company.

Schedule:

8 hour shifts with overtime available.

Shifts will be day time, evenings or weekends as required.

There is no set/consistent schedule as this is a live event industry role.


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent



Pay: $35.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 60 per week
