Job Title: Advertising & Promotional Specialist Reports To: Marketing Manager THE ROLE: The Advertising & Promotional Specialist is responsible for the execution of the Team Town Sports marketing strategies and promotional activities to help drive sales in both bricks & mortar and online. The position is primarily accountable for leading the development and successful execution of all advertising and promotional tactics and will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager and Merchandising team. In this role, building strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners and vendors will be critical to success. We’re looking for someone who wants to combine their passion for advertising and team sports to drive our marketing campaigns and promotions.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the execution of advertising and promotional planning to drive sales and traffic. Accelerate the executional capabilities of all advertising and promotional campaigns by developing appropriate project workbacks, managing the overall marketing calendar and managing all required cross-functional processes. Coordinate creative briefs for all major campaigns, working with channel owners to ensure consistency and brand standards & identity. Alongside our Digital Center of Excellence Team, and Marketing Manager, support the maintenance of all online communication messaging and content in paid digital channels.

Lead the e-mail marketing calendar and execution; brief weekly emails to designers, ensure accurate deployment and measure results. Define advertising opportunities across all channels and penetration strategies to drive traffic and increase brand awareness, strong understanding of competitive landscape within targeted markets. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and CRM Director to ensure customer data is accurately being stored, routinely analyzed and insights are used to consistently improve marketing programs and targeting. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: Post secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field. 3-4 years of work experience in marketing, advertising, or communications.

Detailed and organized person with strong project management skills who has demonstrated ability to balance hands-on execution, multi-tasking, and time management. Experience working with creative and production resources for digital and print media. Experience with marketing-related software tools, Sprout Social, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or other providers) and Google Analytics (or other analytic providers) would be considered a strong asset. Knowledge of brand identity, advertising, and marketing strategy.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross functional teams. Interest in team sports an asset.
