THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Agronomist for Lethbridge will be responsible for delivering top-tier agronomic support to growers in the Crop360 Agronomy program.

As the Agronomist in Lethbridge, you will collaborate with farmers to design comprehensive seeding, fertility, and pesticide strategies. Your responsibilities include conducting in-season scouting and providing data-driven recommendations based on field observations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for agronomy and enjoys hands-on fieldwork, ensuring that growers achieve optimal crop performance and sustainable agricultural practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES Crop360 Agronomy Provide best in class agronomy. Prospect new Crop360 agronomy customers. Manage your customer billing and collections.

Crop360 Program Support Crop360 Precision Lead in promotion and execution of the VR program. Support Director of Business Development in execution of Crop360 confirmed trials. Crop360 Staff and Retail Training Educate and promote Crop360 Agronomy.

Organize and execute training for growers and JGL retail staff during off season. Training Participate in manufacturer, distribution and internal meeting and training. Attain your provincial agrologist designation and/or CCA certification FIRST YEAR – MEASURES OF SUCCESS Create strong working relationships with key stakeholders of the farm.

Meet or exceed sales and margin targets. Make a positive impact to the profitability of the farm. Provide overall increase in value to the farm.

THE INDIVIDUAL Given the pivotal role this individual will be expected to play in achieving the strategic objectives of the company and in supporting the success of the organization, it is essential that the successful candidate possess the following core competencies, experience, and attributes: Education Professional Agronomist Designation degree is an asset. Experience 3-5 years experience needed in the agriculture industry; specifically, in horticulture and/or field crops. Farming background considered an asset.

Certified Crop Advisor Designation considered an asset and encouraged for professional development. Driver’s license required. Travel frequency 20% Corn industry experience considered an asset.

Competencies and Knowledge A thorough understanding of irrigation practices and management is essential. A thorough understanding of soil biology is essential. Ability to work in outdoor conditions (fields and storage).

Ability to establish strong working relationships with staff and external consultants. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Effective time management skills.

Excellent oral and written communications skills. Proven ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others. LOCATION Lethbridge, Alberta The successful individual will work from either their home office or company office and is expected to be in the field and at grower sites between 60-70% of the time.
