Alberta Certificated Teacher

Maria Montessori Education Centre in Calgary is seeking a 0.2 FTE Physical Education Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. This position will include Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, with ample prep time provided. MMEC pays on a scale valuing education and experience.

Responsibilities: – Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Alberta curriculum – Create a positive and engaging learning environment – Collaborate with other staff and families to support student success – Maintain accurate records of student information, as needed – Stay updated on current educational practices and participate in professional development opportunities Requirements: – Bachelor’s degree in Education – Valid Alberta teaching certification – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to effectively manage groups of children – Flexibility to adapt to changing educational needs and priorities
