Summary:

The Area Manager sells the organization’s products to established on & off premise customers, develops new distribution opportunities with full list of customers, and manages all brand building initiatives in territory. The Area Sales Manager reports directly to Proximo Alberta Field Sales Manager. This individual will activate against organization objectives for distribution, programming initiatives, brand building, ROI and budget expectations, and brand plans.

Responsibilities:

Manage a territory of retail customers, both key account & independent locations, executing brand building programs to achieve company retail objectives for distribution, display, and shelf management.

Conducting staff and consumer education and tasting sessions to drive volume and distribution of our portfolio, to increase Proximo market share in this channel

• Manage a territory of on-premise customers for well and back-bar distribution, menu placements, and staff and consumer education and tastings; to increase Proximo market share in this channel


• Create and present winning customer presentations that maximize scorecard ROI for Proximo in territory, and negotiating with customers within defined brand budget plan

• Develop excellent relationships within urban and rural retail and on-premise customers, community events, charitable organizations, members of the industry, and colleagues in order to attain sustainable growth and achieve liquid to lips sampling goals with all customers

• Use EZ Focus sales data and CRM tool to understand account performance for Proximo and competitor portfolios, identifying opportunities to increase volume and value, and leverage brand sales to drive portfolio success with all customers


• Generate consumer awareness for Proximo portfolio with staff and consumers through trade shows and throughout the highly influential on & off premise network


Qualifications

High level of professionalism and 1-2yrs industry experience

• Knowledge of AGLC liquor regulations, current market trends and competitive landscape

• Post-secondary education or higher with excellent computer skills and analytics capabilities


• Able to work evening/weekend hours for trade shows, community events, work related travel

• Disciplined sales approach, highly organized, with excellent problem-solving skills, and time management techniques

• Experience managing T&E and brand budgets


• Proficient in Microsoft office programs, and navigating EZ Focus sales reporting

• Possesses strong business acumen, excellent computer skills, and keen negotiating skills

• Possesses ‘Spirit of the Entrepreneur’
