Attorney – In-house Counsel

Great opportunity for a Litigation Associate to work in-house, fully remotely, with potential to transition into a Corporate Generalist role.

Our client, an international corporation headquartered in Connecticut, seeks to hire an in-house counsel to join their lean legal team. Candidates residing in the Northeast are preferred (Connecticut, Massachusetts, DC, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware).

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of BIGLaw experience in Litigation; however, the role will function as an in-house generalist.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support business teams by anticipating and addressing complex legal and business issues, serving as a strategic partner and advisor.
  2. Provide legal advice on strategic litigation management, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Creatively solve problems and coordinate across business units.
  4. Assist in creating workplace policies and procedures compliant with applicable laws.
  5. Understand business needs and the company’s risk tolerance.
  6. Utilize outside counsel effectively and escalate issues to senior leadership as needed to balance risks and business objectives.
  7. Stay informed about relevant rules, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  8. Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and experiences.

Education & Experience:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing in at least one state.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates with experience representing clients against government agencies (e.g., SEC, FDIC, Antitrust Litigation).

  • Team player who enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams, investing in others, and working collaboratively to reach consensus.
  • Openness to adapting practices in response to evolving business needs and willingness to learn new legal areas.
  • Experience in litigation management, corporate governance, compliance, investigations, and labor & employment matters.

Compensation: Base salary of $185,000 plus bonus.
