Job Description BURNCO is currently hiring a Batch Plant Operator for our operation in Edmonton, Alberta. We’re looking for new team members who are energetic, highly motivated, dependable, good communicators, and possess good interpersonal and leadership skills. n We offer great benefits and more: n n Highly Competitive Wages. n Company 6% RRSP Matching Program. n Great Health Benefits for You and Your Family. n High Quality Individuals and Teams to Work With. n Strong Safety Culture. n n What You Will Be Doing n n Day to day interaction of other plant employees, report absences and other personnel issues to Production Manager. n Complete required paperwork and reports as needed. n Ensure strict compliance with health and safety, environmental, employment, management, and other company policies. n Verify each load for volume, mix, added products and all other quality information. n Operate equipment safely and efficiently. n Receive and inspect raw materials. n Keep required records and logs. n Perform routine maintenance and oversee the cleaning of the concrete plant. n Monitor inventories in the plant (cement, fly ash, admixtures and aggregates). n Adjusts batching weights and quantities as necessary to maintain specifications. n Other duties as assigned. n n What We Need from You n n Safe Driver Record. n Concrete Mixer Truck driving experience an asset. n An understanding of concrete products an asset. n Must be mechanically inclined. n Must have good mathematical skills n Experience in the operation of a batch plant preferred n Intermediate computer experience n Ability to successfully pass our pre-employment testing. n n n IMPORTANT: As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that selected candidate successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screen and Fitness to Work testing.
