As the Branch Manager, you will effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the Calgary Alberta branch which will include sales, manpower, budgeting and cost control. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will provide direction, training and coaching to all branch staff.

The Branch Manager position requires regular travel to visit staff and clients across the province as required. To learn more about CEL, please visit us at www.celelectric.com. Duties and Responsibilities: As the Branch Manager you will oversee all areas of the branch.

It is expected that the incumbent will demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the following core competency areas necessary to manage projects of all scopes and size as well as oversee mentorship and training of PMs and field leaders. The position is responsible for: Branch: Oversee day to day branch operations of the service/project team management and field staff Responsibility for the overall financial health of the branch. Including business development, cost control, forecasting, invoicing, and profit/loss (P&L with PMs) Manage manpower and related scheduling and forecasting Review all project costs and adjust strategies as necessary Source new clients and opportunities Manage existing client relationships Procurement and vendor management Complete Annual Employee evaluations Promote a positive and safe culture for staff and provide support for the safety program Manage fleet and company equipment Manage projects as needed (for core clients/projects) Manage contracts Estimating and pursuit management Provide mentorship and training to all branch employees Manage and oversee all other items as required for the success of the branch and the company as required Inter Office Operational : Coordinate national service offerings with other branches Coordinate all project & quotation efforts and resources with other branches Sharing learnings and information with other branches (safety, projects, clients, operations, etc.) National: Assist other managers with manpower and resources Be an active member of national and local Industry Groups such as GEAPS or Construction Associations where applicable Corporate: Produce a yearly budget and reconcile on a quarterly basis Manage budget on an ongoing basis Reporting as directed by head office Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years management experience in a contracting industry (Electrical or Mechanical is preferred) Red Seal or Master Electrician would be an asset Understand and manage sub-trade contracting Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Highly organized with time and team management skills Excellent interpersonal skills and team player An eagerness to grow the branch network Work With Us: At CEL, we are driven to help our clients succeed.
