New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Business Analyst for our client. This position will support analysis and artefact creation related to strategic frameworks, conduct an environmental scan, perform gap analysis, capability maturity assessment, operating models, processes, and implement roadmaps for Data Strategy and Digital Health Strategy. Responsibilities:Works collaboratively with all business areas, applications and technology teams, and external partners, including stakeholders, to support completion of the deliverables related to the Data Strategy and Digital Health StrategyLeads business analysis activities to understand, analyze and document the business requirements translating them into functional requirements and/or process workflowsLeads discussions with business teams to elicit, capture and document requirements (business requirements, functional, non-functional and transitional)Drafts use cases and participates in the development of strategic frameworks, operating models, and processesLeads and documents discussions with business units to determine the extent to which solution(s) meet(s) the needs of the businessCreates business, process, data, and workflow models to complement requirementsActs as a liaison facilitating requirements between the Data Strategy and Digital Health Strategy areas of workDevelops, defines, and builds application-based business cases, briefing notes, and decision sheets that will enable business and technological recommendationsPerforms current as-is analysis and documents to-be future stateCreates functional specifications for conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows as neededExperience:8 years of experience in Business Analysis in a complex business environment with preferably5 years as a Senior Business Analyst5 years of experience in Business Analysis, requirements gathering, solution definition and evaluation, writing reports and briefing documents, and creating project documents and artifactsExperience working on Agile projects, hybrid projects, and Waterfall projects through full project lifecycleExperience leading stakeholder sessions/workshops with audience at a director level and aboveExperience on business driven or business transformation projectsExperience providing strategic planning and/or product management is an assetExperience in health sector with primary care or processes change on Canadian Healthcare projects is an assetExperience working with business, clients or customers for new products, systems or enhancementsCommunication Requirement:Experience working in a culturally diverse enterprise environment, and navigating political climate with easeWillingness to learn about the client’s values and incorporate those values into the assigned tasksMust adhere to the client’s Communication in the Workplace policies and valuesEffective analysis, consulting, consensus building, conflict resolution, and negotiation and team skills are an assetExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage project stakeholders, as well as take direction from leadership as requiredWorks effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely mannerAbility to conduct needs analyses, and to effectively facilitate groups to achieve appropriate outcomesAbility to develop and deliver effective presentations and workshops; excellent business writing and communications skillsAbility to identify, obtain, and effectively structure large amounts of material into succinct documents in a timely fashionAbility to build relationships, consult with customers and potential customers, both internal and externalAbility to follow prescribed methodology, take direction and to integrate ideas into the assigned workOccupational Certification:Business Analysis-related certification such as ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA or equivalentAgile Certification preferred, such as:IIBA-AAC Agile Analysis CertificationAgile Certified Professional (ACP);Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM); orCertified Scrum Master (CSM)Computer skills: Advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and SharePoint 2019ITIL Foundation Version 4.0 (or 3.0); certification is an assetIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
