Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Description Baytex has a full-time onsite opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Calgary, Alberta office. The role will be primarily focused on supporting operations’ business processes and the development of business intelligence end-user tools. They will also perform business analysis tasks to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.

The successful candidate is an effective communicator with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities · Developing data solutions to address operations pain points · Supporting business improvement initiatives and corporate one source of truth reporting · Building skills and knowledge of operations team end users with improved access to data · End-to-end development cycle of PowerBI reporting to meet operations requirements · Participate in the design, development, training and testing of data models · Ensuring corporate data governance and change management processes are followed and improved · Collaborating with business intelligence, operations and IS teams · Provide support for PowerBI, Power Automate and Power Apps · Facilitating business user acceptance and adoption · Ownership of day-to-day tasks and projects as needed Qualifications · 3 years experience with data analytics with energy industry experience · Degree or technical diploma in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field · Analytical skills, data modeling, data visualization, reporting and dashboard creation abilities · Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI, PowerApps etc.) · SQL knowledge and proficiency with data queries · Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks · Excellent communication and presentation skills If you are qualified and interested in applying for this position, please submit your resume indicating the job title and job code LL008-4 by Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to resumesbaytexenergy.com
