Position: Buyer Schedule: Monday to Friday F/T Location: 1105-2551 No. 6 Road Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain, the Buyer plays an integral role in the Supply-Chain function of our Company. This role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow their Procurement or Supply Chain career and is suited to a person who is highly organized and intellectually curious to learn the bigger picture of what it takes to feed the operations of our growing business. You act with courage and humility. You recognize that safety and care are the foundation to success. Summ Responsibilities: Support Procurement with purchasing and arranging delivery for Packaging and Supplies Maintain Packaging volume forecasts with internal and external customers.

Establish and maintain relationships with Packaging vendors and conduct site visits with Manager as needed. Work with Production Planning team to understand scheduling of finished goods. Manage and continuously improve Excel based MRP tools to review materials and packaging.

Work with Logistics Manager on booking loads, managing data, reviewing costs. Manage all warehouse receipts for Packaging, and post and resolve invoice discrepancies of price and quantity. Monitor and maintaining supply chain management strategies using the Sales and Operations Plans tools to help purchasing/warehouse/logistics make proactive decisions Collaborate with internal departments to identify and close any operational gaps Provide solutions to improve information flow between stakeholders at both facilities Monitoring costs and staying within allocated budgets Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports Summ Requirements: A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in a Procurement/Purchasing role or related Food Manufacturing experience.

Certification in Purchasing/Inventory Management is preferred. Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word). Demonstrable ability to establish priorities and organize work accordingly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (additional languages are an asset). You’re intellectually curious with a proven ability to apply learnings effectively. This full-time opportunity is on-site at our No. 6 Road location and offers a competitive salary range (based on experience) between $58,000 – $70,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account and more.
