THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Central Procurement Manager is a key member of the Rohit Communities team, responsible for developing strong relationships with stakeholders to attract the best procurement opportunities. This creative and innovative candidate will play a leading role in recognizing and bridging the gap between the company’s needs and the new market changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain budgets for the purpose of auditing, forecasting, variance reduction, and introducing new products for production. Constructing and maintaining tender packages for all regions for new and existing suppliers, and new models. Continually update and maintain standard budgetary contracts including scopes of work, specifications, pricing, terms and conditions.

Manage ERP architecture, update budget pricing, and update supplier allocations. Forecasting requirements for materials and labor and costs for all projects that are underway, projected, and anticipated. Lead cost control initiatives from design through operational efficiencies.

Direct material sourcing to ensure materials on time, add value, reduce cost, and are consistent to stakeholder requirements. Manage inventory levels and logistics for directly sourced materials. Knowledge of current and upcoming legislation and a strong working knowledge of contract law.

Coach and mentor team; develop a succession plan; identify and develop the next generation of managers and leaders in the organization. FIRST YEAR – MEASURES OF SUCCESS Ensure the availability of a clean, accurate, and comprehensive dataset, capable of producing data on demand with no missing information, variances, or additional costs, while maintaining clear visibility and control over materials. Ensure effective collaboration between the operations and procurement teams, fostering strong communication and promptly resolving any issues to maintain seamless operations.

Foster clear internal communication and utilize data-driven insights to guide strategic business decisions. THE INDIVIDUAL Given the pivotal role this individual will be expected to play in achieving the strategic objectives of the company and in supporting the success of the organization, it is essential that the successful candidate possess the following core competencies, experience, and attributes: Education An Engineering bachelor’s degree or a quantitative-focused Business or Mathematics/Statistics degree is considered an asset but not necessary. Experience 5 years of experience with problem solving, system building, process improvement.

In-depth business level understanding of job costing and any construction job costing Enterprise Resource Planning software (we use Microsoft Dynamics). Expertise in Microsoft Excel using advanced formulas and pivot tables. Exceptional forecasting ability with strong analytical and interpretive skills.

Strong computer skills in a Windows environment. Strong skills in mathematics, statistics, and accounting. Direct practical construction experience is an asset.

Competencies and Knowledge Strong critical thinking skills, able to read past the information at hand. Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities. Flexible in reacting to changing market conditions.

Strength in gathering, analyzing, digesting, and presenting large amounts of relevant data into easy-to-follow conclusions. Experience establishing vendor agreements including the ability to strategically assess and mitigate risk with vendors and suppliers. Familiarity with laws, ordinances, and regulations pertaining to corporate purchasing practices and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.

Experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role. Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders. Knowledge of the appropriate tools for grading, analyzing, and assessing materials, equipment, supplies, services, and other commodities.
