Lakeside Pediatrics has an opening for a .6 Clinic RN

Work Schedule: Part-Time 24 hours. 3 days a week with hours 8:30-5pm. Hours will likely be either Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Location: th St #101, Kenosha, WI 53142

What you will do:

The Clinic RN role is a combination of telephone triage, patient messaging via MyChart, processing paperwork, completing prior authorizations,  providing in-person and telephonic patient education, filling the role of the medical assistant to support the clinic as needed.

The clinic RN practices within the Code of Ethics and Standards of Nursing Practice. Performs triage via phone and patient messaging in the electronic health record. Delegates patient care responsibilities appropriately, and maintains accountability for the quality of care. Provides for the health education needs of families with a focus on self-management and preventive health. T

We do have 5 physicians and 2 BHCs in our clinic currently and we are a very busy, fast paced clinic

 What you will need:

  •  A license to practice nursing in the State of Wisconsin.

  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse. 

Experience

  • Two years' experience in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred.

  • Experience with pediatric patients preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Must be able to adapt and think on your feet.

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.

  • Ability to work with a diverse patient population to promote a culturally competent environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for positive and effective interaction with patients, families, visitors, providers, and the health care team.

  • Good organization, delegation, and communication skills to facilitate efficient patient care.

  • Strong demonstrated ability in assessment, analytical decision making, and critical thinking.

  • Analytical skills are necessary to assess complex patient conditions effectively. Requires the ability to synthesize multiple sources of information to assist in patient care.

  • Ability to assist and support other primary care locations as requested by leaders and/or the Children's Medical Group float policy.
