Community Development Facilitator
Coquitlam School District invites applications from individuals for the position of Community Development Facilitator. As the third largest school district in the province, we are located within a 40-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. The school district has a population of 32,000 students with approximately 4,300 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff.
This experienced Community Development Facilitator reports to the designate Assistant Superintendent and indirectly reports to the principal or designate at each site. The community Development Facilitator provides direct support to the daily operations of community development programming and is responsible for the organization and operation of school community programs, including community schools. The community Development Facilitator also collaborates with and assists the Community Connections & Healthy Living Coordinator to facilitate districtwide programming.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Diploma in Recreational Leadership Management/ Community Development or equivalent.
4 years recent experience in recreation, social services, education and /or social sciences and program delivery/management
Computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Valid Class 5 driver’s license. Business use of personal vehicle required
Current First Aid and CPR certification
