The Alberni-Clayoquot Continuing Care Society (ACCCS) is a non-profit registered charity that was established in 1976 as the owners of Fir Park Village and Echo Village. We currently have an opportunity for a Community Liaison Manager to join our leadership team in Port Alberni, BC. This key role will be responsible for fundraising and grant applications to achieve the annual fundraising goal of $ 250,000.Primary AccountabilitiesDonor Management: Develop annual and multi-year plans for major gifts and family foundations Proactively research, solicit staff/volunteer/Foundation Board for referrals within their networks, enhance the existing pipeline and develop new relationships with potential major donors Actively manage institutional grants and gift opportunities, with responsibility for writing grant proposals in order to submit a minimum of 10 major gift proposals per year Utilize effective systems for tracking and cultivating donors, and prospective donors through CRM Effectively and successfully integrate the Foundation’s mission, strategic plan, annual priorities and case for support with philanthropy in achieving organizational goals with prospects/supportersCommunity Engagement: Take an active role in fundraising events, with budget and critical path in mind and a realistic revenue path Serve as a liaison between residents, staff, families, Fir Park and Echo Village Foundation Act as a liaison between the community and local government agencies and officials Participate in community outreach efforts such as town hall meetings, community events, and neighborhood programsThe Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will possess a passion for health philanthropy and be a consummate professional and role model, with excellent communication skills, professionalism, and interpersonal skills. Requirements include: 2 years of direct gifts/campaign level experience Demonstrated track record of independently closing individual major gifts or grants of $5,000 Experience working in a results-oriented institution with multiple internal and external stakeholders and collaborators Experience participating in an integrated moves management and prospect clearing process Strong verbal, communication and writing skills along with polished presenting skills Strong understanding of charity sector and not-for-profit organizations Ability to work well with diverse groups of people and build strong relationships Ability to multitask and effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines Consistently demonstrates the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity Driver’s license and access to vehicleHPJob Types: Part-time, Fixed term contractPart-time hours: 18.75 per weekSalary: $29.00-$32.00 per hourBenefits: Casual dress Company events Dental care Discounted or free food Flexible schedule On-site parking Paid time offFlexible Language Requirement: French not requiredSchedule: 4 hour shift Monday to FridayApplication question(s): Do you meet the experience and educational requirements?.
