Construction Project Manager

Must-haves

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field together

Five (5) to seven (7) years’ recent related experience managing, leading and directing facilities projects in a complex institutional environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience


Experience in capital project planning and implementation processes including design, construction and procurement within current standards, codes, bylaws and regulations

Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies

Ability to interpret construction drawings and construction specifications


Ability to supervise, provide direction to team members and foster a respectful and motivating environment in which individual competencies can thrive

Ability to operate related equipment including related software application

Ability to take smart risks and make tough decisions



Plusses

Knowledge of healthcare information systems

Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager, Real Estate & Facilities to support in major capital projects with one of BC’s leading health authorities.

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting feasibility, design and implementation of facilities projects across the health authority. Responsibilities include leadership and oversight of large project teams of internal staff and consultants. The position requires strict understanding and adherence to procurement policy, cost tracking, decisions tracking and making recommendations and decisions on technical scope considerations.
