<p><h3>Consultant, Financial Analysis & Reporting - Finance</h3>
<p>Finance • St. Joseph's Hospital, London, ON • Full Time • Salary Range: $49.02 - $57.68 /hour</p>
<p>An opportunity exists for a highly motivated team player to join St. Joseph's finance department. As the Corporate Business Consultant, within the Accounting, Reporting and Budgeting finance portfolio, you will be part of a collaborative team that focuses on providing business and information support to the many facets of our diverse organization.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Execute and coordinate monthly and yearly accounting close procedures for research activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, project financial analysis, financial statement preparation and analytical review.</li>
<li>Undertake accounting and reporting related to grant financial management, including preparation of funder budgets and proposals, reports and audits.</li>
<li>Provide thoughtful and detailed variance analysis against prior year, budget, and forecast; identify root causes and communicate financial information in a timely, reliable, and consistent manner.</li>
<li>Lead, plan and coordinate the year‑end external audit process and other audits as needed.</li>
<li>Support the full cycle budgeting processes.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Essential Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation</li>
<li>Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in a business‑related field</li>
<li>Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including Not for Profit Accounting Standards and PSAB</li>
<li>Knowledge of a safety culture in a health‑care setting in compliance with the OHSA</li>
<li>Experience with month and year‑end accounting close procedures and reconciliations</li>
<li>Demonstrated intermediate computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel</li>
<li>Experience with financial reporting software applications</li>
<li>Expertise in manipulation of data and file transfers</li>
<li>Self‑directed individual with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with specific attention to detail</li>
<li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>Strong customer service focus and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience leading, planning and coordinating an organization's external audit</li>
<li>Experience in a health‑care or research environment</li>
<li>Proficiency in Oracle eBusiness financial reporting software</li>
</ul>
<h3>Teaching and Research</h3>
<ul>
<li>St. Joseph's Health Care London, through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College, is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee, you will be expected to engage in role‑related teaching and research activities in addition to any clinical duties.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Immunization Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis B, COVID‑19 and influenza.</li>
<li>Provide documentation of the TB skin testing.</li>
