Position Overview
The position of Education Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales Associate is based in our Edmonton, AB office. The critical job functions of this role require strong data entry/keyboarding skills and developing a strong medical product knowledge. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, people skills, multi-tasking abilities, time management and organizational skills are essential. The objective in this role is to provide sales support to the Education/Simulation Sales Consultants and enhance the customer experience through accurate and timely order processing. Additionally, this role captures customer service needs such as responding to customer inquiries, and providing product and pricing information as required.
Essential Job Functions
- To develop and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of customers and vendors across Canada
- Order entry for medical supply orders in AHS’s ERP system (Traverse Global)
- Order entry for Education Kit orders in Traverse
- Promptly respond to phone messages, emails and all other customer and vendor inquiries
- Support customer requests such as, but not limited to, shipment tracking, waybill numbers, invoices, packing slips, POD (proof of delivery), missing documentation, and ETA information as required.
- Prepare supply order and kit order quotes in Traverse for customers and/or Education Sales Representatives as requested
- Communicate customer concerns to the Education Sales Representatives and/or the Kit Room Manager for review and follow up to expedite a correction, adjustment or resolution
- Vacation coverage for Education Sales Consultants
- Work with the Education Sales Consultants and Director of Supply Chain to complete and submit Education RFP’s, bids and tenders
- This role may expand and evolve as candidate learns various aspects of AHS’s business
Other Job Functions:
- Participate in product training and maintain knowledge of AHS products
- Assist in other department activities when requested (i.e. inventory counting)
- Attend and participate in staff meetings
- Minimal travel may be required for attendance at conferences, possibly once per year
Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate effective teamwork, be respectful of others and maintain a professional business like attitude
- Adaptable to manage/prioritize workload and daily activities to meet customer and department needs
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with competing deadlines
- Ability to process large volumes of data entry with speed and accuracy
- Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,Outlook, Powerpoint, and SharePoint/One Drive
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment
- Showcase good analytical and evaluative skills in tasks
- Showcase good written and oral communication skills
- Fast and accurate keyboarding/typing skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Medical product knowledge is an asset
- ERP software experience is an asset
- Traverse Global knowledge is an asset
