Job Description
<p>We are seeking a highly experienced <strong>Cybersecurity Project Manager</strong> to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical cybersecurity initiatives. This role operates within the IS Project Management Office (IS PMO) governance framework and requires close collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.</p><p>The ideal candidate has deep expertise in managing cybersecurity projects, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Project Planning, Execution & Monitoring</strong></p><ul><li>Lead end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects in alignment with IS PMO standards.</li><li>Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria with stakeholders.</li><li>Develop comprehensive project charters and management plans covering schedules, budgets, resources, and risk strategies.</li><li>Coordinate daily project activities, including cross-functional interactions (e.g., with Supply Chain).</li><li>Track progress, proactively identify risks/issues, and implement mitigation strategies.</li><li>Own project forecasts and budgets, ensuring accuracy and accountability.</li><li>Tailor project artifacts to delivery methods (Agile, Waterfall) and project tiering.</li><li>Oversee strategic vendors and collaborate with vendor PMs when applicable.</li></ul><p><strong>Stakeholder Management & Communication</strong></p><ul><li>Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.</li><li>Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, risks, and key decisions.</li><li>Gather feedback to ensure deliverables align with stakeholder needs and expectations.</li><li>Build trust and foster strong partnerships across technical and business teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Change Management & Control</strong></p><ul><li>Implement change management processes to govern scope, schedule, and budget adjustments.</li><li>Ensure all changes are documented, reviewed, and approved by appropriate stakeholders.</li><li>Communicate and manage the impact of changes on teams and business operations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of hands-on experience managing <strong>cybersecurity projects</strong>.</li><li>Proven track record deploying <strong>cybersecurity applications and/or processes</strong>.</li><li>Strong expertise in <strong>project definition and planning phases</strong>.</li><li>Experience working with security architects to identify vulnerabilities and define mitigation strategies.</li><li>Proficiency in conducting <strong>impact assessments</strong> and maintaining risk registers.</li></ul><li></li><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP) with knowledge of key domains, particularly <strong>Communications & Network Security</strong> and <strong>Identity & Access Management</strong>.</li><li>Experience managing projects in <strong>Industrial Control Systems (ICS) / SCADA environments</strong>.</li><li>Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and their practical application.</li></ul><p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
