Director of Construction

Drake International, searching for an experienced Director of Construction , for one of our clients a leading General Contractor and Construction Management company in Vancouver with projects throughout British Columbia. This position will take on a leadership role, overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery. Your extensive construction management expertise will be instrumental in driving project success while ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets.

ACCOUNTABILITY Oversee all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to completion, managing complex projects Ensuring projects are completed within specified scope, schedule, budget, and meeting expectations. Demonstrate expertise in construction methodology, financial risk assessment, and professionalism throughout the project lifecycle. Provide exceptional management for projects, multitasking all project-related items across various projects simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 15 years of construction industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Ability to work in and support a strong team concept while having the ability to work independently. Construction knowledge – overall understanding of construction processes, sequencing and planning concepts Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment, where collaboration is the key to success.
