We have a strong commitment to a work culture that prioritizes our people and clients. Our team is in search of a Director of Finance to lead our finance department. Role Overview This position involves leading the Finance Department team in delivering all aspects of the firm’s financial needs. It requires a strong leader who is committed to our values of excellence, respect, accountability, trust, and ethics.

Qualifications This ideal candidate for this position meets the following requirements: An accounting designation (CPA). Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional services environment, or related area. Experience leading a team in an accounting, finance, or similar management position. Experience in all aspects of financial administration of a professional services firm, including, but not limited to accounts receivable/payable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.

Strong leadership skills to focus our accuracy, analysis, and financial reporting. Experience with law society trust accounting requirements preferred. Familiarity with taxes for Indigenous communities, governments, and businesses considered an asset. Strategic planning for financial operations.

We offer an anticipated salary range of $105,000 to $130,000 per year (to be negotiated with consideration for education and experience) with a generous range of benefits, including health, dental, RSP contributions, four weeks of vacation, wellness, relocation, professional development allowances, and all professional designation fees.

Woodward offers flexibility with a hybrid work model. This position is a managerial leadership position and attendance in our Victoria office is required.
