Our client is seeking a Director Finance to lead the Finance team for a 6 month contract. Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include: Provide oversight of the Finance Department including financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, policies & procedures, compliance and internal controls Manage the accounting functions that include financial reporting, investment management, cash management, payroll, credit & collections. Prepare budgets by collecting, analyzing, consolidating financial information and recommending plans for various departments Provide leadership for the Finance Department and promote motivation and teamwork including coaching, training and career development activities Provide leadership on any key projects in the organization as well as advocate and drive change Partner with Managers as well as with other internal & external stakeholders across the organization to achieve the organization’s overall strategic plan To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated finance professional (CPA) with 10 years of progressive accounting experience as well as 7 years of senior leadership experience In addition, the following skills and experience are desired: IFRS reporting experience and exceptional leadership skills Strong FP&A background including budgeting and Adaptive Planning experience Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex problems Excellent listening and communication skills Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills Engaging and collaborative Proven relationship building, negotiation and organizational skills Strong change management and project management skills.
