Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Director of Finance position for an interim opportunity. This contract opportunity will be providing financial leadership in managing all accounting functions and supporting the business through the Year End process. Your main responsibilities in this role include; Management of audit processes including year end on December 31st.

Overseeing and supporting the financial reporting team preparing consolidated statements under US GAAP. Supporting the business with strategic approaches on systems and best practices. Planning and execution of internal controls.

Working on various projects and support post M&A integration work, including experience with 409A and purchase price agreement. Providing ad hoc support to various strategic initiatives. To be considered a suitable candidate for this position, you should meet all of the criteria below; CPA designation with at least 5 years of leadership experience.

Experience working in a company following US GAAP reporting standards is required. Prior experience in Big 4 would be an asset. Financial integration and post M&A experience with knowledge of 409A and Purchase Price Agreement a useful asset.

Must be able to interact across all levels of the business effectively in a fast-changing environment with excellent communication skills. This is a full time contract position for 9-10 months working for an organization based in Vancouver, however, they are hiring on a remote basis. Therefore, this person must be authorized to work in Canada without restrictions on working hours.
