OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW As our Director of Membership, you will be responsible for all functions associated with new member acquisition and retention for The Vancouver Club. This responsibility involves training, leading and motivating the Sales Specialists; developing and maintaining a sales plan; creating, reviewing, and analyzing monthly and quarterly reports pertaining to member recruitment and retention; overseeing all sales activities, and managing the onboarding and retention of all new and existing members. RESPONSIBILITIES Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Work directly with the sales team to develop their sales skills. Plan and implement strategies to execute the Membership Campaign to meet the Club’s annual membership goals and budgets.

Process new Club Memberships and all required compliant documentation for submission to the Membership Committee and to the Boards for approval. Coordinate the Member Program annually with the General Manager regarding membership number limits, dates of eligibility, pricing and services. Conduct tours for prospective members.

Responsible for all current membership files, requests, upgrades, listings, and any other membership notices/requirements. Develop and implement procedures for processing prospective member applications. Process member adjustments and resignations.

Follow up on marketing efforts and member referrals. Develop, monitor, and adhere to a membership and marketing budget. Track the success and overall performance of all membership KPI’s and marketing activities.

Clearly outline membership goals and objectives including KPI monthly targets. Participate in Membership Committee meetings and distribute minutes as assigned. Prepare required information related to the Club Annual General Meeting and the Club Annual Report.

Perform other tasks as assigned. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Post-secondary degree in business, hospitality, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years experience managing a small team.

A sales leader with a minimum of 5 years of proven success in exceeding sales targets. Proven track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams. A strategic thinker with a keen understanding of project management and organizational skills.

Must have strong motivational presence and exceptional communication skills. Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Computer Knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
