Director of Operations

Taylor Ryan has partnered with our General Contractor client on an exciting Director of Operations opportunity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a respected organization with existing clients and grow the business within Alberta. The client is looking to grow this region considerably over the next 3-5 years.

Key Job Functions: Operations: You will manage up to 8 direct reports and have a pulse on the operation as a whole including Project Management, Project Pursuits, Profit & Loss, Business Strategy, etc. Business Development: You will be a key part of the project pursuits within the Alberta region and work closely with the estimating team and clients to win projects.

Leadership: You will be the leader of this region and will be responsible for supporting the team’s career progression and overall business growth. Financial Acumen: With the support of the accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the business makes money. Qualifications : 5 years of people leadership experience (managing teams of up to 8 but as few as 3) 8 years of Project Management experience within ICI or MF (preference for ICI) Capable of managing projects of up to $120 M in value Experience at the Director or Area Manager level is an Asset 3 years of Project Pursuit experience is an Asset P.Eng, M.Eng, LEED, or PMP would be considered an Asset
