As the Director of People and Culture, you are a key member of United’s Leadership team. You contribute to company performance by providing innovative, tactical and strategic consulting on people strategies and organizational culture that foster an environment of engagement and excellence.
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Employee Engagement: Implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement, ensuring a positive workplace culture.
- HR Processes: Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and employee development.
- Day-to-Day Payroll and HR Operations: Manage daily HR operations, addressing employee inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Leadership Development: Collaborate with leadership to identify talent development needs and create programs that support career growth and succession planning.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Champion initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
- Culture Initiatives: Lead cultural initiatives that align with our company values and mission, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess employee engagement, turnover, and other key indicators, using data to drive decision-making.
As a hands-on HR practitioner, the Director of People and Culture performs and oversees all of the day-to-day Human Resources related functions, coaches and supports leaders, and establishes self as the expert resource for all human resources related matters.
As the ideal candidate, you have a proven track record of leading HR initiatives in a dynamic environment, possess a university degree in business with a concentration in human resources (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience), and have a minimum of 5-8 years in human resources management. A CPHR designation in good standing is preferred.
Your effective communication skills allow you to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment. With excellent communication and presentation skills, you are a storyteller, with the ability to create relevant employee communications and disseminate information as required.
