What You’ll Be Doing: As the Director of Sales , you will be instrumental in driving our company’s growth by developing and executing a business development plan aligned with our corporate objectives.
Leading a team of sales professionals, you will foster a culture that promotes our values and implement strategies to enhance performance and meet sales targets. Your role involves making data-driven decisions, developing a marketing plan to drive revenue growth, and contributing strategically to the leadership team. You will also be responsible for understanding competitors’ strategies, overcoming customer objections, and managing the sales and marketing team to annual budgets.

What You’ll Be Working On: As a director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple facets of the sales process, ensuring that all activities align with the company’s strategic goals.
Here is an overview of the role: Business Development: Develop and execute a business development plan aligned with corporate objectives. Identify and understand competitors’ products and sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Overcome customer objections and promote Yardstick’s services.
Sales Management: Create and lead a team of high-performing outside and inside sales executives. Implement sales management strategies to motivate and improve performance, ensuring sales targets are met. Review weekly data and analytics to make informed decisions.
Provide monthly detailed forecasting. Develop and manage the sales team to annual budgets. Promote and manage continued learning and other sales development.
Marketing Management: Develop and implement a marketing plan aligned with corporate objectives. Lead and manage a marketing team to drive revenue growth using effective marketing channels. Contribute strategically to the leadership team and its initiatives.
Set quarterly and annual sales and marketing targets, plans, and strategies. Accountable in leadership meetings for sales and marketing targets. KPIs : Achieve quarterly and annual MRR targets: Drive revenue growth by meeting monthly recurring revenue targets.
Manage First Time Appointments (FTA): Ensure a steady flow of new client meetings to build the sales pipeline. Make strategic dials: Conduct targeted outreach to potential clients to generate interest and leads. Nurture the Warm 100 list: Maintain and develop relationships with top prospects to convert them into customers.
What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. Experience working in IT or MSP. 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role. 5 years of experience in a sales leadership position. 7 years of experience working in a sales role using CRM software. Experience running a team of 7-8 people, including coaching and mentoring from entry level to senior.
Solid experience managing a remote team (experience not necessarily required but preferred). In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and motivation techniques. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strategic and creative thinker. Willingness to travel within Western Canada up to 25% (Calgary, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Vancouver). Our Employee Perks: Competitive salaries.
