Position Summary


Our client administers several pension plans in the Cayman Islands. On their behalf, we are searching for an experienced professional to take on the role of Director, Plan Member Services.


Please note that this is a full-time position based in George Town, Grand Cayman that will require the successful candidate to relocate, joining the thousands of international expats who have chosen to make the island their new home.


Responsibilities


Reporting to the Chief Pensions Officer, the new hire will deliver efficient customer-facing services for plan participants. They’ll be responsible for all pension administration matters, lead and mentor the Member Services department, and improve internal efficiency through technology and automation while ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations. They’ll also deputize and act for the Chief Pensions Officer as needed.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Admin, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Finance). A Master’s degree is an advantage.

  • Internationally recognized pension or actuarial certification (e.g., Pensions Management Institute, Associate or Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pension administration, with at least 5 years at a managerial level.


Experience and abilities



  • Experience/familiarity with public sector operations and public pension administration is desirable.

  • Strong understanding of pension client/member needs, ability to address them promptly and clearly.

  • Experience using Pension Administration systems.

  • Strategic thinking, data-driven recommendations, new solutions, and promoting innovation.

  • Agile, adaptable, and proactive approach for transformative change in changing conditions.

  • Proven risk management skills, identifying and addressing relevant issues.

  • Strong project planning, organizational, time management, and delegation skills.

  • Strong leadership skills, creating a learning environment for team members.
