Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Director, Resource Development to lead our efforts in expanding community support and securing essential resources for BSF. Reporting to the Executive Director, International Healthcare & Chief Social Impact Officer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission and vision through effective fundraising strategies. If so, you’re the perfect fit for our team Your Role in Shaping Our Future: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive resource development strategies aligned with organizational goals and budgets.
Fundraising Excellence: Oversee all fundraising activities including grants, major gifts, annual appeals, and special events, ensuring robust donor stewardship and cultivation. Team Leadership: Manage a team of dedicated professionals, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Partnership Development: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance donor relationships and community engagement.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in all fundraising activities. Communication Strategy: Work closely with the Communications and Marketing team to align messaging and enhance visibility through various channels including social media. What You Bring to the Team: Experience: 10 years in nonprofit resource development with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of fundraising principles, donor engagement strategies, and CFRE designation preferred. Visionary Leadership: Proven ability to conceptualize and implement strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills with a track record of building successful partnerships.
Organizational Acumen: Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing environments.
