EIPS is recruiting a part-time (0.676 FTE) Grade 5 Teacher at Fultonvale Elementary Junior High. Fultonvale Elementary Junior High serves approximately 500 students in kindergarten to Grade 9, with 24 teaching staff and 11 support staff. The school is located in rural Strathcona County, AB, approximately 13 kilometres southeast of Sherwood Park, AB.

The Fultonvale Elementary Junior High’s mission is to provide a positive environment where students are able to develop to their full potential. The school promotes lifelong learning and continuous personal growth and development for all students, staff and families. Commencing August 27, 2024 Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS teachers who hold a continuous contract Qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree. Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate. Effective organization and classroom management skills.

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged. Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice. Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals. Plan and facilitate engaging learning experiences that align with curriculum standards.

Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration. Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners. Collaborate with colleagues to participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational goals.
