An opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join a respected contractor in the lower mainland Award winning Electricians and a trusted partner to the Vancouver region, our client is looking to bring an experienced Electrical Estimator into the team to help support their future growth strategy. Working mostly on commercial projects, you will be joining a well-respected contractor in the area who are committed to providing quality service every time. Your new Role: The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing and presenting accurate estimates for all potential projects, based on both client submissions and project plans.

This critical role ensures that projects are financially viable and competitive in the marketplace. Your duties will include: Review and evaluate cost estimates. Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.

Prepare and submit project estimates to clients. Analyze data to help with decision-making and forecasting. Attend client meetings to provide estimates and explain cost factors.

Work with the project managers and other team members to follow up on bids and budgets to close the business. Ensure timely completion of estimates. Understand the scope of work to bid.

Manage bid pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items. Where necessary, research and propose alternatives to improve cost efficiency.

Maintain existing relationships and build new relationships with prospective clients to ensure business growth. What you’ll need to Succeed: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a relevant field. Proven experience as an estimator or similar role within the construction or electrical industry.

Thorough understanding of project specifications, tendering processes, and contract documents. Strong skills in numerical analysis and managing budgets. Proficient with estimating software and spreadsheet design.

Excellent organizational and project management skills. Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines. Impeccable problem-solving and analytical skills.
