Job Description
Position Summary
TRITAN Group has partnered with leading Alberta manufacturing plants to find a skilled and experienced Electromechanical Millwright to join their team in Edmonton. The Electromechanical Millwright reports to the Maintenance Manager and works on the shop floor to maintain plant machinery and facilities and improve business. The individual is responsible for completing assignments on time.
Roles and responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of fabrication, repair, servicing, troubleshooting and rebuilds.
- Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery to ensure minimum downtime.
- Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn-out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
- Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
- Install and troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and programmable logic controls; replace electrical components
- Perform changeovers on different volumes and formats as required.
- Implement preventative maintenance following standards and schedules as outlined in the PM and TPMS programs (lubrication, adjustment, setting, replacement, cleaning, etc.).
- Assist and work with equipment/machine operators to ensure safe and continuous operation.
- Complete special projects as needed
- Understand, support, and comply with all company policies, including Health and Safety, Environmental, Food Safety, and Quality.
- Maintain a daily activity log and spare parts consumption.
- Available after hours to perform services as needed and agreed upon with management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- You must have at least 2 - 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Certified Journeyman Millwright with extensive experience in machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Good knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and systems is an asset.
