Our client is a leading Toronto based employment law firm. They are currently seeking an experienced associate that will be responsible for conducting research, drafting legal documents, negotiating on behalf of clients, and representing them at all stages of litigation.
Your new role
In this new role you will be required to handle many files through the litigation process both independently and as a member of an experienced team. Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues. Prepare and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings. Represent clients in proceedings including mediations, examinations, pre-trial, and trials. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients. Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop legal strategies.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 2 years’ post-call experience, with demonstrated knowledge and interest in employment law and/or litigation. To excel in this role, you should have strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively. Additionally, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, with appropriate mentorship, are essential for success in this position.
