Work Location


This position will be based in Saskatoon. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.


Purpose


Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, this role is responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of site-wide equipment, with a strong emphasis on electrical engineering. You will lead efforts to maintain and optimize electrical systems and critical controls, conduct root cause analyses, and support compliance with BHP’s risk frameworks. The role contributes to improving asset performance and reducing downtime through proactive reliability strategies.


About The Role


In this role, you will:



  • Own and manage critical control verifications and execution tasks in SAP

  • Ensure alignment with BHP’s Risk Management standards and critical control ownership

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) workshops for chronic equipment failures

  • Conduct monthly audits of physical assets and critical spares

  • Maintain and improve preventative maintenance strategies using GE APM

  • Drive continuous improvement aligned with the BHP Operating System

  • Support lifecycle management of Fuels, Lubes, Air, and Coolants

  • Participate in BHP Field Leadership and risk-informed decision-making


About You



  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Eligible for registration with APEGS

  • Experience in equipment reliability and risk management

  • Skilled in RCA and RCM facilitation

  • Strong understanding of condition monitoring and risk frameworks
