Estimator

Location: Vancouver Are you an experienced Estimator with a proven track record of successfully of preparing estimates for a construction company?. Do you have experience with residential, commercial or light industrial projects?. We are looking for an Estimator for our client, the role will report to the Director of Pre Construction: Key Responsibilities: Monitoring project budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

Reviewing invoices, analyzing costs, and preparing regular cost-to-complete reports to identify variances. Maintaining a directory of suppliers and trades while fostering positive relationships. Soliciting and reviewing quotes, and remaining up-to-date on pricing and options.

Preparing and/or review purchase orders, change orders and other required documents to suppliers or trades. Ensuring accuracy and cohesion of purchase orders and budgets Completing and/or reviewing project take-offs and estimating job files to ensure accuracy and completeness. Estimating material and labour costs, and identifying costs savings opportunities.

Creating preliminary or elemental estimates to aid in the valuation of property acquisitions. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years estimating experience Relevant Degree or Diploma Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Projects Benefits Incentives Competitive Salary – $90,000 – $130,000 Bonus potential RRSP Matching Benefits 3 weeks vacation
