Summary

The Cash Management Group at Canaccord Genuity is looking for an Executive Assistant to join our high-performance team. Our group manages over $5 billion in client assets and employs like-minded individuals who come to our office every day with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, creative problem-solving skills, and grit.

The successful candidate will work with our executive team based out of our downtown Vancouver office to support the Cash Management Group. To succeed in this role, it is essential to possess a strong work ethic, demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.



Responsibilities:

  • Office management and maintenance needs. This includes the following:
  • Maintain and organize the office environment, with a particular focus on keeping the kitchen clean;
  • Order and maintain all office supplies and fulfill related requests;
  • Perform errands, including driving the company car for executive team lunches, office groceries, and supplies;
  • Coordinate team lunches, event planning, and client meetings;
  • Perform data entry and follow up with vendors via phone and email;
  • all required business travel for the sales team, including accommodations, flights, car rentals, and reservations;
  • with vendors for preferred rates on goods and services, all whilst maintaining a mindset of prudent spending;
  • Managing recognition of all birthdays, work anniversaries, and other meaningful life events, which includes reminders to the executive team and purchasing gifts;
  • Schedule meetings with business vendors and book family / personal appointments;
  • Coordinate with other assistants to ensure tasks are complete in a timely fashion;
  • Be the gate keeper and answer our office line with a positive demeanor;
  • Maintain receipts and ensure all information is kept up to date;
  • In addition to all the above, you will act as the backup Executive Personal Assistant for Andrew Johns as needed.


What We Need:

  • An undergraduate degree or higher level of education is preferred;
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of similar executive or office management experience;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Attention to detail is a must with the ability to articulate clearly;
  • Self-starter attributes, motivated and hardworking;
  • Adaptability to work in a constantly changing and highly demanding environment;
  • Vibrant and professional demeanor;
  • Able to present a polished appearance in a formal business environment;
  • Comfortable using cloud and Android applications: WhatsApp, Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs,) Box, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Slack;
  • Valid BC Driver’s License.
