Our client provides civil construction services on Vancouver’s largest infrastructure projects. As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution and delivery of these key projects. You will be responsible for technical coordination, quality assurance, and providing administrative support throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities: Develop a thorough understanding of project specifications and budget requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Coordinate and respond to technical inquiries from various stakeholders.
Assist the Quality Management team with performing and documenting QA/QC procedures. Perform basic engineering calculations to support field activities. Manage general duties such as printing/plotting, transmittal preparation, project tracking, and submitting drawings to clients/contractors.
Provide technical and administrative support throughout all phases of the project. Create and issue daily construction reports. Assist with scheduling and cost estimate preparation.
Attend site meetings, communicate directly with clients, and maintain respectful and professional working relationships. Ideal Candidate Requirements: 1-4 years of experience working on a construction site. Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write reports, letters, and presentations. Familiarity with scheduling software is an asset.
