Financial Reporting Manager Consultant
Our Calgary client is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager Consultant to join their team. The successful individual will be responsible for leading the preparation and filing of all external financial reports ensuring compliance with IFRS. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial disclosures.
This is a contract opportunity with a duration of 12-months.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Manage quarterly and annual filingsOversee preparation and review of financial statements, MD&A, and Annual Information FormPerform variance analysis trend for senior management and reports to the Board of TrusteesLead implementation of new accounting standardsSupport month-end and year-end close processes.Review and approve month-end and year-end journal entries.Coordination of internal control testing, design and implementation of internal controlsCoordinate with external auditors and provide required financial documentsManagement of tax remittances and filings, as well as other tax filings and projectsInvolvement in the preparation and review of the annual budget and forecastsProject work including process improvements and automation effortsProvide leadership, coaching, and training to the corporate accounting team Your strengths include:
Designated CPA/CFA7+ years’ experience, with 3 years IFRS reportingPublic accounting and REIT experience strongly preferred.Strong technical accounting and IFRS reporting knowledge.
